Mechanical Technician
As an EC&I Team Leader, you are the driving force behind our technical installations
As an EC&I Team Leader, you are responsible for leading the team that manages, maintains, and optimizes all electrical, control, and instrumentation systems of our power plant. You ensure that our installations remain safe, reliable, and available, while playing a key role in technical innovation and continuous improvement.
What will you do?
Leadership and Team Development
Lead, coach, and develop the EC&I team.
Plan and coordinate daily activities, maintenance work, and projects.
Conduct performance, development, and appraisal reviews.
Participate in the on-call rotation together with three technicians.
Create a safe, professional, and motivating working environment.
The Maintenance team is responsible for keeping the installations in optimal condition. This is done across two areas of expertise: ECI and mechanical maintenance. The work requires constant alertness, thorough inspections, and in-depth technical analyses.
Technical Management and Maintenance
Take responsibility for the reliability and availability of all EC&I installations.
Maintain and optimize PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems.
Coordinate preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.
Develop and maintain technical standards and work instructions.
Safety and Compliance
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, standards, and procedures, including NEN, ATEX, and SIL requirements.
Perform risk assessments such as HAZOP and FMEA studies.
Supervise safe work permit processes and Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
Projects and innovation
Initiate and deliver improvement and innovation projects.
Coordinate and support planned outages and major maintenance shutdowns.
Collaborate closely with technical teams, contractors, and suppliers.
Manage budgets and contribute to cost optimization initiatives.

What do you bring?
A completed MBO+ or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related technical discipline.
Preferably 5 to 7 years of relevant EC&I experience within an industrial or power generation environment.
Experience in leading technical professionals, or the ambition to grow into a leadership role.
Knowledge of power plants, process industries, or similar high-risk operational environments.
Experience with PLC and DCS systems such as Siemens, ABB, or Emerson.
Strong understanding of instrumentation, electrical systems, and measurement & control technology.
Experience with maintenance management systems such as Ultimo, PMS, or similar applications.
Knowledge of NEN 3140, NEN 3840, ATEX, and SIL standards is considered an advantage.
