As a Reliability Engineer, you are the specialist responsible for the reliability and maintenance of our installations. You analyze failures, identify their root causes, and initiate sustainable, long-term improvements. In doing so, you make a direct contribution to increasing the availability, safety, and efficiency of our processes.

You work closely with the maintenance team, engineering colleagues, and the QHSE department, playing a key role in the continuous improvement of our technical performance and operational reliability.

EP NL Sloe Power Plant

The Sloe Power Plant is a subsidiary of EP NL, the third-largest operator of power plants in the Netherlands. The plant consists of two identical units, each capable of generating 470 MW of electricity. With an efficiency of over 60% and a high level of flexibility, the plant helps ensure a stable electricity grid in a landscape with an ever-changing energy demand.

In this way, the Sloe Power Plant plays an important role in the energy transition.

Core Tasks and Responsibilities

• Preparing improvement actions and monitoring their implementation

• Developing and enhancing inspection and maintenance concepts

• Conducting Root Cause Analyses (RCA) for failures and deviations

• Identifying the underlying causes of technical issues

• Supporting audits and technical inspections

• Analyzing maintenance data and evaluating reports

• Providing advice on maintenance techniques, condition monitoring methods, and spare parts management

• Optimizing maintenance strategies using Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM)

• Contributing to the continuous improvement of reliability, safety, and cost efficiency

Required Knowledge & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree (HBO/WO) in a technical discipline

• Experience in Maintenance Engineering and/or Reliability Engineering

• Knowledge of RCA methodologies, such as 5-Why Analysis, FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and Fault Tree Analysis

• Experience with maintenance strategies and asset management

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Proactive, structured, and results-oriented work approach

• Good command of both Dutch and English, written and spoken
